Apple PowerBook and iBook Settlement, up to $181.7 million

PowerBook G4 and iBook G4Apple Inc agreed to a settlement that will cost the Cupertino-based company between $57.5 and $181.7 million to pay refunds of $25 to $79 to as many as 2.3 million computer owners. Detroit-based law firm, Butzel Long Attorneys and Counselors, alleges Apple knowingly infringed on a patent for a flash memory drive by selling its iPod nano and iPod touch players, among other devices.
