Apple Releases Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.5.5

If you have Quicktime 7.5.5 installed you may occasionally experience video chat interruptions and/or unexpected quitting in iChat if your Mac is connected to a wireless network or a wired broadband connection.
Occasionally when you switch between viewing images and recorded movies, you may also experience unexpected quitting in Photo Booth.
Apple has released a QuickTime H.264 Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.5.5 via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, the update improves QuickTime compatibility with iChat.

i have quicktime 7.5.5, mac os x 10.4.11 (powerpc G5), itunes 8.0.1, and safari 3.0.4
quicktime quits at launch, if i try to stream a video on safari with quicktime safari quits, if i try to use itunes to watch a podcast or movie or download a podcast or try to update my ipod itunes quits.
what should i do?
