Flick Bowling Game for iPhone and iPod Touch is Boring
October 18, 2008
Flick Bowling is a game for the iPhone and iPod touch in which players attempt to score points by rolling a bowling ball along a flat surface either into objects called pins or to get close to a target ball. The graphics are ugly, and the game itself is horribly boring. Flick Bowing offers six characters, ten pins and a range of difficulty levels.
Players have the ability to bowl alone or against one of the computer characters in two modes - Free Play or Versus mode.
The characters don’t perform bowling motion, they just stand there and throw the ball like an 80-year old grandma. Some balls are lighter than others, making some roll slower than others. You need to use your finger to slide your bowler to the desired position. Then you flick your ball in a straight line and hope for the best. As a long time bowling fan George Roush observed, “This is just an inexcusable attempt at a bowling game. For what you’re getting, it should cost a dollar. The game isn’t fun, there are too many things wrong with it, and it needs a serious upgrade to fix its issues.” Price: $0.99 (download).
