iTunes 8.0.1 Fixes Bugs, Improves Syncing and HDTV Support
October 4, 2008
As you have already noticed when you opened your iTunes, new version 8.0.1 is available in your Mac OS X’s Software Update. New iTunes 8.0.1 improves stability and performance and provides a number of important bug fixes. Apple has also updated Apple TV to v2.2 yesterday with some major improvements.
Last month, Apple introduced Genius playback, High Definition TV shows, and a new iTunes visualizer updated with iTunes v8.0.
The latest version 8.0.1 improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano, checking for updates from the App Store, accessibility with VoiceOver, addresses an issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading, and problems syncing Genius results to iPod. Specifically, iTunes 8.0.1 fixes the bug in Vista machines that leads to the “blue screen of death” when connecting an iPod. The 58.5 MB update is available now and can be obtained through the automatic update, or it can be downloaded on Apple’s iTunes update web site.
