MobileMe Control Panel 1.1 for Windows Users Available

MobileMe Control Panel 1.1 for Windows is available for download as a standalone installer. With MobileMe, your contacts, calendar, and bookmarks are automatically kept in sync between your PC, iPhone, iPod touch, and a suite of web apps at me.com.

The MobileMe Control Panel is required to set up sync on your Windows PC. It also enables you to manage your MobileMe iDisk for online file storage and sharing.

MobileMe, Apple’s subscription-based collection of online services and software, has been plagued by problems since it launched. Many MobileMe users have ’migrated’ to Yahoo!’s Zimbra Mobile, and a new service from Sharpcast, called SugarSync for iPhone,  promises to be even more attractive alternative for those willing to make a ’switch.’ Recently, the Cupertino-based Company admitted the service is not up to Apple standards, but said it has already makde many improvements to MobileMe. Back in August, the company offered the second free trial extension on top of the 30-day extension Apple gave users in mid-July. The service is reported to be vulnerable to e-mail harvesting and spam. MobileMe Control Panel 1.1 for Windows users weighs 1.6 MB and is available for download from Apple Downloads web site.
