Jaadu: Remote Computer Access from iPhone and iPod Touch
August 31, 2008
Jaadu VNC (virtual network client) application allows you to gain full control of your computer from your iPhone or iPod touch from wherever you are. Jaadu is currently the only VNC client with automated setup for both local and “connect from anywhere” connectivity. It is one of the most useful apps we have tested so far.
So what exactly can you do with this app? You can control any application on your Mac or Windows PC desktop. Any file that you have on your computer is now at your fingertips whenever you need it. You can also check on your wife and kids to make sure they are doing fine without you at home.
Full access to your computer means that you can also use your remote browser and visit Flash-based web sites, which don’t work on your iPhone Safari browser. Remote Control provides access to numeric keypad, arrow keys, and function keys, so you can control your computer’s mouse and keyboard wirelessly using your iPhone and iPod touch.
Jaadu supports high resolution displays (e.g. 3200×1200) and up to 2x zoom, as well as, Leopard Screen Sharing, Tiger Remote Desktop, and all Windows VNC servers: TightVNC, RealVNC, and UltraVNC. VPN-based encryption is also supported. Price: $24.99 (download).
