Incase Slider Case for iPhone 3G Protects Your Gadget
August 16, 2008
The Slider Case from Incase is finally available for your iPhone 3G. It is made of lightweight hardshell plastic and features a minimal wall thickness of 1mm. Interior rubber guardrails provide shock absorption in addition to impact and scratch protection, as well as ’slip’ protection.
With a direct access to widescreen, you can easily access all controls and device features. In other words, you get full access to the headphone jack, sleep/wake button, and the dock connector as well as a cutout for the camera, speaker, and microphone.
The Slider Case allows you to charge your device while in case. For docking, you can simply remove the bottom cover, but beware - over time, you will find yourself removing the cover many times, which could result in scuffs or scratches to your iPhone 3G.
The soft-touch coatng provides an extra grip, which helps prevent your device from slipping out of your hands. The slider case does not scratch the chrome edges of the iPhone 3G, because it contains interior rubber quardrails providing shock absorption in case you drop your device on the floor. It is available in black matte and white gloss finishes and can be ordered directly from Incase’s online store for 34.95.

Another $5 worth of plastic that costs $35.
No thanks.
Best iphone case available to the public.
The cheapest shipping direct from InCase’s site was around $9 to the DC area, bringing the total closer to $45. Nine dollars to ship a couple ounces of plastic and packaging? Not for me. I’ll wait until this is available in an Apple store.
