Apple Worldwide Developers Conference - Sold Out!

May 14, 2008

Apple Worldwide Developers ConferenceApple spokesman Bill Evans told Macworld that Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), being held June 9-13 in San Francisco, has sold out for the first time in the history of the annual event.

According to Evans: “The conference is now sold out. For those unable to attend WWDC, session videos will be available to purchase on iTunes shortly after the conference.”

A team of Apple executives, led by CEO Steve Jobs, will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at San Francisco’s Moscone West.

“Response to this year’s WWDC has been off the charts and we are delighted with the show of enthusiasm and support from the developer community for the new iPhone SDK,” - said Evans.

At the heart of this year’s conference are over 150 information-rich sessions and labs where Apple engineers go in-depth on the innovative technologies that power iPhone OS, Leopard, and Leopard Server.

Apple’s WWDC will feature the first-ever session track for iPhone, where developers will learn how to create applications that make use of the iPhone and iPod Touch’s user interface, three-axis accelerometer and geographic location technology. Developers can bring code to the labs and work one-to-one with Apple engineers, applying development methods and best-practices gained from sessions to enhance their applications, including application-programming interfaces for CoreOS, Core Services, Media and CocoaTouch technologies.
