New Companion for iPod & iPhone: iHome iP99

April 21, 2008

iHome iP99 for iPhone and iPodSpecialty retailer Brookstone is is set to launch the new iPhone/iPod clock radio on June 1. Brookstone’s gadget, iHome iP99, is  designed specifically to dock, charge and play both the iPhone and all docking iPod models.

This gadget allows iPhone users to listen to their music via iHome’s proprietary Reson8 speakers and still receive calls, because engineers eliminated the shielding that normally interferes with cell signals.

With extra-large, backlit custom LCD display, the iP99 also features an AM/FM radio, alarm buzzer and a remote that controls both iPhone and iPod functions and menus. High-contrast display is easy to read, and the included remote controls iPhone and iPod music navigation. You can choose to wake to your iPhone/iPod, a custom playlist, the radio, or a traditional buzzer alarm. Unique 7-5-2 alarm settings let you wake up at different times on different days, to fit your schedule (everyday, weekdays, weekends).

iHome’s Reson8 speakers produce 10 watts of power and are “designed to deliver outstanding clarity and depth.” Exclusive one-piece Reson8 ported speaker chamber features SRS TruBass technology and a full range of equalizers minimize vibration.

You can pre-order the iHome iP99 iPhone/iPod clock radio for $149.95 and receive free shipping by visiting online Brookstone store.
