Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for Mac - Just Released

Aspyr Media announced today they have begun shipping a Macintosh version of the game, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars (ESRB: Mature), throughout North America. Quake Wars is a first-person shooter game, and is the follow-up to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

Quake Wars is a class-based game. There are two opposing teams - the GDF (Global Defense Force), who are human, and the Strogg, an alien race that is invading Earth. As the invasion begins, players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either the human GDF or the barbaric Strogg armies, each augmented with specialist weapons and combat hardware.

The main drive of the game is to either capture enemy territory by completing objectives or to defend these objectives for a specified amount of time. Each side usually alternates between attacking and defending.

This action-packed Mac game features strategic team play, persistent character promotions, and the universe’s most powerful weapons and vehicles in heroic objective-based battles raging on stunning battlefields inspired by tropical, arctic, temperate, urban and desert locations both online and offline against lethal A.I. combatants.
